Terms of Service
Last updated: March 23, 2026
Plain language
These terms are written in plain English because you shouldn't need a lawyer to understand them. If something is unclear, email us at [email protected] and we'll explain it.
What Unlisted does
Unlisted scans data broker websites for your personal information, submits removal requests and legal deletion demands on your behalf, and provides screenshots as proof of what we found and what was removed.
We act as your authorized agent for data removal. When we contact a data broker, we're acting on your behalf, using your name, under privacy laws that give you the right to demand deletion.
What we don't guarantee
We're honest about what we can and can't do:
- We can't guarantee every broker will comply. Most do, because the law is on your side. But some brokers are slow, some are overseas, and some ignore requests until they get a second or third demand. We follow up, but we can't force compliance.
- We can't guarantee spam calls will stop immediately. Your number is already on lists that were sold before we removed you. Those lists age out over weeks and months. The effect builds over time.
- We can't prevent re-listing. Data brokers re-scrape public records regularly. If you have a one-time clean, you may reappear. Annual and household plans include monthly re-scans to catch and remove re-listings.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information. We search for you using the name, city, state, age, and phone number you give us. If the info is wrong, we'll search for the wrong person or miss your listings.
- Only submit your own information(or information for people you're authorized to manage, like your children on a household plan). Don't use Unlisted to look up or remove other people's data without their consent.
- One account per person. Household plans cover up to 5 family members managed by one account holder.
Pricing and payments
Current pricing:
- Free scan — always free, no card required
- First clean — $0.99 one-time
- Annual protection — $9.99/year (monthly re-scans and automatic removal)
- Household protection — $19.99/year (up to 5 family members)
- Parents add-on — $7.99/year
All payments are processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your card number.
Annual and household subscriptions renew automatically. We'll email you before renewal so there are no surprises.
Refunds
If you're not happy, email [email protected] within 30 days of payment to request a refund. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days.
We'd rather give you a refund than have an unhappy customer.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your protection continues through the end of your current billing period.
If you want everything deleted — your account, your data, your scan history, your screenshots — go to iamunlisted.com/delete. This cancels your subscription and permanently removes all of your data. It's immediate and irreversible.
Account access
We use magic links for authentication — no password to remember or get stolen. When you sign in, we email you a link that logs you in. Keep your email account secure and you're good.
Don't share your login links with anyone. Each link is single-use and expires quickly.
Acceptable use
Don't use Unlisted to:
- Look up or remove other people's information without their authorization
- Submit false information
- Interfere with the service or try to access other users' data
- Resell access or use the service on behalf of others commercially
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms. We'll tell you why and refund any unused subscription time.
Intellectual property
Unlisted, the Unlisted logo, and iamunlisted.com are ours. Your data is yours. The screenshots we take of broker sites are provided to you as proof of service — they're for your records, not for redistribution.
Warranty disclaimer
UNLISTED IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do our best to remove your data from broker sites, but we cannot guarantee 100% removal from every broker, immediate cessation of all spam, or that brokers won't re-list you after removal.
Limitation of liability
Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months. We're one person running a service we believe in, not a company with deep pockets.
Indemnification
You agree to hold Unlisted harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from inaccurate information you submit, your violation of these terms, or your misuse of the service.
In plain English: if you give us the wrong name and we send removal requests for the wrong person, that's on you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Disputes and arbitration
If you have a problem, email us first. Seriously. Most things can be resolved with a conversation.
If we can't work it out, here's how disputes are handled:
- Small claims. Either party can bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
- Binding arbitration. For disputes over $500 that don't qualify for small claims, you and Unlisted agree to resolve them through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration will take place in Pennsylvania.
- Class action waiver. You and Unlisted agree to resolve disputes individually. Neither party will participate in a class action, class-wide arbitration, or representative action.
- Opt-out. You can opt out of arbitration by emailing [email protected] within 30 days of creating your account. Include your name and a clear statement that you decline arbitration.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and email you about significant changes.
Continued use of Unlisted after changes means you accept the updated terms. If you disagree with a change, you can cancel and delete your account.
Privacy
How we handle your data is covered in our Privacy Policy. It's short, honest, and written in the same plain language as this page.
